Overview Quality health care begins with skilled, experienced and caring professionals. At Fayette CARE Clinic, our Culture of Caring is made possible by the generous support of retired and actively practicing health care providers willing to volunteer their time and talents to serve others. In addition, community leaders, business owners, and Fayette County residents also volunteer and support the clinic and the important work we do in the community.
Volunteers At Fayette CARE Clinic we strive to enhance the healing and self-esteem of those in our care. This is the key to providing a positive experience for both those who serve in the clinic and the patients who come for treatment. Towards that end, we work with caring and qualified medical professionals and lay personnel who are willing and able to help others. Volunteer health care providers go through a thorough screening and must have appropriate credentials before coming to work at the clinic. Continuing Education Units (CEU) are provided for Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physicians Assistants, Dentists, and Hygienists. Non-medical volunteers are needed to assist with administrative and office duties as well as serving as translators. These volunteers are thoroughly trained and asked to give 3 – 4 hours monthly to the clinic. Volunteers are currently needed for the following positions: Doctor, Dental Assistant, Dental Hygienist, Dentist, Nurse Practitioner, Nurse (RN, LPN, etc.), Office Staff, Physician Assistant, Specialty Providers, Translators. Those interested in volunteering should complete and return a volunteer application for either Lay Personnel or Medical/Dental Personnel. Both documents are available at our office, or can be downloaded here:
Donations As a 501c3 non-profit, Fayette CARE Clinic relies heavily on community support and donations to help provide the equipment and services which are are vital to our success (our partners are listed below). All donations are tax-deductible and monitored by our volunteer Board of Directors. These dedicated individuals provide management, administrative, and financial expertise to guarantee the responsible allocation of funds and good stewardship of all donations.
Every contribution is valuable and no amount is too large or too small. For example, a donation of $200 can pay for dental visits for 2-3 patients. $100 can pay for diabetic supplies for 2 months.
